Best team in 7th dragon code1/3/2024 ![]() ![]() Reason being, starting with the classes, is that each class only has two “styles” that alter the design of both the male and female of the class. The character creation aspects don’t really give you much to choose from, despite the 8 classes, 32 appearances in total, and 40 voices. Instead, it was only due to the fact that I simply became bored of what I was using and wanted to change it up a bit. By various methods of hacking, you can, in one case, confuse the monsters by thinking they are the enemy and having them attack each other for a few turns, or gain data on them for higher chance of critical hits.) The only reason why I ended up changing much later into the adventure wasn’t even because I couldn’t progress or wasn’t doing significant damage. ![]() I went through a significant portion of the game simply with a Duelist (this Yu-Gi-Oh!-inspired class uses cards to summon monsters to fight by your side, as well as putting battle-hindering effects – ala trap cards – such as spikes on the ground that damage the enemy whenever they engage you), a God-Hand (these guys tend to be quick, swift, and deal a decent amount of damage, while also having the ability to heal themselves and party members without the use of items), and an Agent (Agents utilize hacking and projectile weaponry to both defend and give the overall team an upper-hand in battle. These classes can be changed at any given point in one of its various hub worlds to take advantage of certain situations, but I couldn’t help but feel like this was a mechanic that was added for the sake of having the player feel more personalization or making the game feel deeper than it actually is. It even has an alternate Diva mode where all the background music is sung by Hatsune Miku.Īnyways, now that I've played a decent bit of 2020 I've found myself a fan of the series and am really excited for III: Code VFD.7th Dragon III puts a big emphasis on its ability to have you customize your team “heavily” so you can strategically make your way through the game and its multitude of dungeons by having eight classes to pick from, but only three you can have in battle at a time. Its some of Yuzo Koshiro's best work, I think. Battles are challenging and rewarding and keep you on your toes, and the music is really.different. Gameplay wise, the game doesn't baby you at all and has almost no tutorial, making it very easy to pick up. You can even choose each of the characters' voices and their names. Psychics have low attack power, high magic. Samurai deal in strong offensive melee attacks. Hackers almost exclusively have buffs and debuffs as skills. Psychics mostly deal in offensive and defensive magic. You have a small number of class choices, from hacker to psychic, each with their own uses and cons. Right at the beginning of the game, you choose three characters (yourself and two party members) and give them each a class of your choosing. The game offers a lot of customizability gameplay wise. The flowers seem to hold some relevance as to what kind of monsters are in the area, and there are strange distortions in space wherever these dragons have spent a long period of time around. So far the story isn't anything special but the scifi atmosphere along with strange visuals and its relationships with flowers keeps things fresh. Now you, an elite group of soldiers that you yourself created, must help an organization get humanity back some ground after dragons took over and pushed mankind close to death. The story of it involves a bunch of dragons having come to the Earth and screwing everything up all over the world. ![]() Gameplay is sort of like Etrian Odyssey if it were top down instead of first person when moving through dungeons, however a good bulk of the game is going through maze-like dungeons themselves avoiding and/or taking out FOEs and so on while Yuzo Koshiro music plays during battles. I'm not certain on the story of the series as a whole, but all of the games seem to revolve around humans fighting a dangerous dragon threat trying to eliminate them for the sake of the human race.Īnyways, I recently started playing 7th Dragon 2020 for the PSP in anticipation for the upcoming Western release of 7th Dragon III: Code VFD, and I'm amazed at how incredible the game is! Most of the games in the series have not been officially released outside of Japan, however all of them have received English translations, save for 2020-II, the third game in the series. So far there have been 4 7th Dragon games, with the 4th game set to come out in the West later this year.Īnyways, the 7th Dragon series is a series of JRPGs with dungeon-crawling elements developed by the now bankrupt imageepoch and published by SEGA. ![]()
